Announcing the Next Cycle of Carilion Clinic’s Research Acceleration Program (RAP25)
Carilion Clinic is excited to announce the upcoming cycle of the Research Acceleration Program (RAP), designed to support Carilion employees interested in advancing clinical, biomedical, or behavioral research. RAP offers funding opportunities for innovative projects that will enhance Carilion’s care objectives, elevate educational and research excellence, and foster collaboration across disciplines and with regional research institutions.
We encourage proposals that align with our Vision 2025 Research and Innovation goals, which include:
- Expanding, designing, and investing in future care delivery models
- Growing and investing in clinical platforms to provide cutting-edge treatments
- Strengthening academic partnerships with:
- Virginia Tech
- Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC
- Radford University Carilion
While all rigorous research proposals are welcome, we especially encourage projects that align with these strategic areas of focus.
Important Dates and Funding Information:
Tier I Applications:
- Submission Deadline: Monday, December 2, 2024, by 5 p.m. EST
- Award Notification: January 22, 2025
- Funding: Up to $40,000
Tier II and III Applications:
- Submission Deadline: Monday, December 2, 2024, by 5 p.m. EST
- Award Notification: January 22, 2025
- Funding: Up to $15,000 (Tier II) and $2,500 (Tier III)
