Carilion Children’s unveils Panda Cares Center of Hope
Carilion Children’s, the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) hospital for Southwest Virginia, is proud to announce the dedication of the Panda Cares Center of Hope, made possible by Panda Express associates and guests.
The Center of Hope, located at Carilion Children's Tanglewood Center, will provide curated programs to patients that address well-being, including mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs. Offerings will include new pediatric therapy equipment, such as a lift system to help patients stand on their own.

“The Panda Cares Center of Hope at Carilion Children’s will have a lasting impact on children and families throughout Southwest Virginia, helping us provide essential equipment and life-changing therapies that make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. This extraordinary investment is more than a gift to our hospital; it is an investment in the health and well-being of children in our community. We are honored to partner with Panda Express in making miracles possible for local kids.”
Since 2007, Panda Express and CMN have partnered to “make big change for all kids.” To date, Panda has raised more than $200 million for numerous CMN hospitals, including Carilion Children’s. Panda Express guests and their associates in Southwest Virginia have raised $248,000 for Carilion Children’s since 2016.

Panda Cares Centers of Hope across the country are made possible by donations from Panda Express associates and guests. Funds raised in-store and online at Panda Express benefit each store’s local community. Following a multimillion-dollar commitment to Children’s Miracle Network hospitals to fund Panda Cares Centers of Hope, Panda and CMN hospitals have debuted Center of Hope locations at several hospitals in the U.S. from California and Texas to Hawaii and Washington, D.C.
