Project Grant from American Cancer Society
Lung Cancer Screening Quality Improvement
FCMRG was recently awarded $5k from the American Cancer Society to conduct a quality improvement project, "QI: Improving Lung Cancer Screening Rates Among Eligible Patients in Rural Primary Care", at the Tazewell clinic. Led by Dr. John Epling (PI) and Dr. Holly Morrison (co-PI), the project aims to identify barriers to lung cancer screening in the primary care setting and implement strategies to increase screening rates. This quarter, Dr. Epling and Dr. Morrison visited Tazewell to kickoff the project, connect with the physicians, APPs, and other key stakeholders who will be involved in this project, and better understand clinic needs.
