Research Day 2022 Information
Colleagues,
Research Day will be held on April 5th, 2022 as a virtual event. The event will commence at 7:00 am with presentations from our Residents/ Fellows followed by Faculty/ Staff and Students. Given the virtual nature of the meeting, individuals have the option to participate at their level of interest and work schedule. In general, the resident/ fellow presentations will occur between 7:00 am-10:00 am. Faculty and staff will immediately follow with students presenting between 10:50- 11:30. See the tentative agenda. Our keynote speaker is William Petri, M.D. University of Virginia School of Medicine discussing the current knowledge of COVID-19 and the research that his group has been pursuing to combat the disease. His presentation will start at 12:00 noon. Over 70 abstracts were submitted from Carilion Clinic, Virginia Tech (Blacksburg campus) and Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Upon registration, you will be given a Microsoft Teams link to listen to the presentations. The abstract book and posters will be sent to registered individuals prior to the event.
