John Epling and Michelle Rockwell from Carilion Clinic's Department of Family and Community Medicine, in collaboration with Dr.  Jeff Stein from the Department of Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute, are recruiting adults with type 2 diabetes for a compensated research study helping individuals lose weight, adopt a healthy lifestyle, and study the most effective motivational strategies for successful weight loss.
