Carilion Clinic Signs an Affiliation Agreement with VCU Massey Cancer Center
Carilion Clinic has recently signed an agreement with Virginia Commonwealth University Massey Cancer Center to become an affiliate member of their Minority Underserved National Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP). At present, this affiliation is through NRG Oncology and Carilion Clinic Gynecological Oncology. Dr. David Iglesias will serve as our site Principal Investigator. This association will allow us to participate in national oncology trials and bring the most cutting-edge therapies and treatment paradigms to our patients. In addition, it will have the direct benefit of providing access to these trials in Roanoke. A special thanks to all the individuals involved in making this affiliation a reality including Dr. Bill Fintel (Medical Oncology) and Drs. Iglesias, Armbruster, Saks and Osborne (Gynecological Oncology). In addition, our research and development team members, Danielle Mitchell, and Danielle Guilliams.
