We offer a variety of programs focused on protecting child health and safety, including education on sports, firearms and safety hazards; free car seat checks and home safety classes; and training for fire/EMS, hospital staff, daycares and other community partners.

We provide health screenings to detect potential health issues before they start. We provide screenings for:
- Blood pressure, diabetes, BMI and cholesterol
- Breast cancer (mammography)
- Prostate problems
- Skin cancer
Stay healthy during flu season with a free flu shot! Carilion Clinic Community Health and Outreach provides free flu vaccines, while supplies last. Check back for information on our next free flu shot clinics.
A peer recovery support line is available every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. to ensure that employees, patients and community members have access to the mental health and substance abuse support they need during this time. Call 540-491-4878 to speak with a recovery specialist.
Our free community recovery groups are led by peer recovery specialists for mental health and addiction recovery. You must be at least 18 years of age to participate.
