Carilion Wellness “Dime A Time” Campaign with the United Way

Carilion Wellness will donate a dime for each member check-in at their four locations to United Way of Roanoke Valley from Jan. 18 through Feb 28.

“We feel that this is a natural partnership as both Carilion Wellness and United Way aim to improve the health of our communities,” said Bud Grey, Senior Vice President of Carilion Wellness. “This campaign offers an exciting opportunity for us to focus on wellness beyond our walls.”

After just two weeks of the campaign, Carilion Wellness has already raised close to $1,500 in donations.

“Right now, over 44% of families in the Roanoke Valley are struggling to meet the basic needs. We can’t stand united for them without the help of our partners, like Carilion Wellness,” said Abby Hamilton, President and CEO of United Way of Roanoke Valley. “Through these partnerships, we’re able to extend our reach to help improve the lives of individuals and families in our communities.”

In addition to the donation, Carilion Wellness will also raffle two $100 Amazon gift cards to members at each of their four locations at the end of the campaign. One check-in per day counts toward the raffle.
