Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a disability that affects a child’s social skills, communication, and behavior. Parents may notice symptoms as early as infancy. Symptoms are usually present before the age of 3 years old. The earlier a diagnosis can be made the sooner interventions can be started.

Upon receiving referrals to the Child Development Clinic, our referral coordinator assesses the needs of the child based on the report from the referring provider. Based on the concerns of the parent and/or provider and the child’s age, they will be scheduled in an appropriate clinic spot.
