Biography

Dr. Samara Khalique is fellowship trained in Rheumatology and board certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. Originally from New England, she found her way south via residency in New Orleans, and then a Rheumatology fellowship at University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

Dr. Khalique recently moved to Salem with her husband and son, the result of a career change by her husband who is now at Virginia Tech. She and her family were drawn to this area because of its warm community and natural beauty.

When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dog Sugaree. She also enjoys spending time outdoors biking, hiking, playing tennis, growing mammoth sunflowers and tending to her orchids.
