Partners in Care (PIC) is a specialized program offered by Carilion Clinic Home Care that focuses on meeting palliative and/or end-of-life care needs for those with life-limiting illness who are not currently ready or currently eligible to receive hospice care.
End-of-life doulas are specially trained hospice volunteers who provide support, resources, education and friendship to dying persons and their loved ones at the end of life. Using deep, active listening, doulas conduct life review, complete legacy work and create a vigil plan if so desired.
