Multisite Intervention and Neuroimaging Delay Discounting (MINDD) Study

About

Protocol Description

This is a 6-month study being conducted by research investigators from Carilion Clinic, Virginia Tech and the University of Buffalo to examine different versions of a behavioral program for weight control, diabetes prevention and decision making in adults with prediabetes who are at risk for type 2 diabetes. The goal is to help participants develop strategies for lifelong healthy eating habits to decrease the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The study includes meal and activity planning with a trained interventionist through the use of an evidence-based program shown to help participants lose about 20 pounds.
