Biography
Ruth Vela, MD, completed her medical training in Peru and trained in Pediatrics at Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York City. She recently completed a Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellowship at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. Her professional interests include clinical research, medical education, quality improvement, and improving diagnostic approaches in pediatric medicine. Dr. Vela is passionate about compassionate, evidence-based care and advancing outcomes for children through research, advocacy, and education.
