Biography
Rachel Gagen, MD, grew up in Richmond, Virginia, and earned a bachelor’s degree in literature from Yale University, where she sang in the gospel choir and volunteered at the hospital. She attended medical school at UVA and completed her pediatric residency at MCG. After 17 years in private practice in Lynchburg, she was delighted to join the Virginia Tech clinical faculty in 2025, where she sees patients and teaches medical students and residents.
