Dr. Dudley completed an American Psychological Association-approved internship and post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at Children’s Hospital of Orange County, CA, and University of North Carolina School of Medicine, respectively. She was integral in starting the Pediatric Behavioral Health program at Carilion Children’s in 2001, as she was the first pediatric psychologist to be hired. Dr. Dudley primarily works with teenagers who have been diagnosed with a chronic illness, anxiety and/or depression. She also works with gender diverse adolescents. She has participated in many committees within the community and Carilion Clinic. She previously served as co-chief of the pediatric behavioral health section and now serves as the director of wellness for the pediatric department. Dr. Dudley grew up in southwest Virginia and loves serving people from this region.
