Dr. Jack Perkins moved to Roanoke in 2012 and currently serves as faculty for the Emergency and Family Medicine Residencies. He serves as an inpatient attending for four weeks per year on the Family Medicine Inpatient service as well as directing their 'Hospitalist Track' for interested residents. He spends the majority of his non-clinical Emergency Medicine time pursuing quality projects and writing on sepsis improvement in the Emergency Department. Outside of the hospital he is the director of the non-profit Compress and Shock Foundation (compressandshock.org) dedicated to establishing a free National CPR and AED Education Day for the public. Most importantly, he is the proud father of three children and is actively involved in coaching their various sporting endeavors.
