Biography
Dr. Derek Holmes is originally from Oklahoma and was blessed to have a very vibrant OB/GYN private practice there. He loved the variety of cases that he was able to perform, but mostly the wonderful relationships that he was able to develop with his patients and their families.
His wife is also a physician and a native of Virginia. When they made the decision to move to Virginia to be closer to her family, he decided to focus on his other passion which is teaching. As a clinical preceptor for the VTCSOM OB/GYN residency, he is able to share the experiences that he gained through his many years in private practice.
Both Dr. Holmes and his wife have a passion for medical mission work and have been able to utilize their skills all over the world.
