This serrano guacamole recipe kicks the classic guac up a notch!
Serrano peppers have a semi-sweet and smokey flavor. With a gradual spice, these peppers are a great addition to guacamole, salsa, chili and more!
Serranos are also packed with nutrients, including: Vitamins A and C, thiamin, riboflavin, folate, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc and iron. These vitamins and minerals help aid in digestion, boost metabolism, fight inflammation and support heart health.

Ingredients:
3 large avocados
3 tablespoons lime juice (fresh squeezed preferable)
2 serrano peppers, deseeded and chopped
1 medium tomato, diced
1/2 white onion, diced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup cilantro, chopped (optional)
Preparation:
- Cut avocados in half, remove pit, scoop flesh into a bowl and mash until desired smoothness
- Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine
