To help reduce the spread and exposure of COVID-19, Carilion Clinic has implemented temporary visitation guidelines to help keep our patients and employees safe. If you are feeling sick, have tested positive for COVID in the past 21 days or been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days, please do not come to the hospital to visit patients.
Visitation guidelines for each of our facilities will be assessed weekly, based on three risk levels—limited (green level), restricted (yellow level) and highly restricted (red level)—to indicate if it is safe to allow visitation. Risk levels are determined by the following factors:
- COVID-19 activity in the community
- Availability of personal protective equipment and supplies
As a reminder, hospital administrators may temporarily tighten visitation restrictions with very short notice, in order to keep our staff and patients safe and healthy.
