All of our athletic trainers have fulfilled the requirements for certification by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and are evaluated on the following competencies:

Injury/Illness prevention and wellness protection
Clinical evaluation and diagnosis
Immediate and emergency care
Treatment and rehabilitation
Organizational and professional health and well-being

Our certified athletic trainers play a key role in watching for injuries and provide a vital communication link between the injured athlete, physician and coach in determining whether a player should to return to practice, scrimmage or game. ATCs use their knowledge of the injuries and the factors leading up to the accident to develop a treatment program under the supervision of a licensed physician.
