Carilion Clinic, like many other healthcare organizations, allows patients to opt out of research recruitment contact. Research teams may contact patients after receiving *Institutional Review Board approval to do so, unless a patient has requested to opt out.

Patients who wish to opt out of research contact should do so by calling/emailing below and completing the voicemail and/or email prompts. If a patient opts out, Carilion Clinic will make reasonable efforts to prevent any further research outreach. Opting out does not prevent your healthcare team from discussing research opportunities with you that may be relevant to your care or health condition. En Español.
