In my opinion, Dr Magdycz is one of Carilion's best and brightest. I cannot say enough good about this man. Everything From his professionalism, skill, caring and compassion, to his humor, friendliness, ability and willingness to take all the time needed to put a patient at ease no matter how long that time is, he is TOP OF THE LINE as a medical professional. Other doctors (not affiliated with Carilion) have told me that Dr. Magdycz is THE MAN, there is no one better for your problem than Dr. Magdycz" and went on at length with how impressed they are with him as a person, and a doctor/surgeon. When I first became a patient of his I quickly found this to be true for me, as well. I feel blessed to have been able to have him as my doctor because not only is he highly skilled at everything he does, he has the ability to alleviate many of one's worries, fears and uncertainty with his clear explanations and positive demeanor, often interjecting humor and fun into his examination time. (once, when I was confined to a wheelchair for a short time, he personally gave me a high speed run down the hallway in that wheelchair. I call this experience "above and beyond"---something that he does as a Person, not as a Doctor, making a patient feel they are a Friend and a Priority) I agree with those other doctors I spoke with: Dr. William P. Magdycz is The Best, in so many ways.
