Biography
Travis Smith, DO, is a board-certified sports medicine physician specializing in musculoskeletal injuries, fracture care, ultrasound-guided procedures, osteopathic manipulative therapy, and sports concussion management. He earned his medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Smith joined Carilion Clinic in 2023 and previously taught at VCOM in Monroe, LA. He is a member of several professional organizations and has published research on orthopaedic biomechanics and joint preservation.
