Biography

Dr. Mordhorst is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist who specializes in adult neuropsychology. He conducts neuropsychological evaluations for adults with various clinical presentations, including neurodegenerative diseases, stroke, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, and traumatic brain injuries. He also serves as the program director of the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology. In addition, Dr. Mordhorst holds an appointment as an Assistant Professor with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Dr. Mordhorst received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Clemson University and a Doctor of Psychology degree (PsyD) from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. He completed his pre-doctoral psychology internship at South Florida State University and a two-year neuropsychology fellowship at Stony Brook Medicine in New York. His clinical and research interests include mild cognitive impairment, neurodegenerative disorders/dementia, and movement disorders.
