Biography
Dr. New completed her medical training at the University of Pennsylvania in 1993 followed by residency training in Cincinnati in 1997. Dr. New has practiced at the University of Texas, Houston, The University of Pennsylvania and most recently at Vanderbilt University in Nashville until joining the department of OBGYN at the Carilion Clinic in July 2026. Dr. New provides the full scope of GYN care from annual well-woman exams to problem visits and has a special interest in disorders of the vulva and vagina including dermatoses, infection, pain, pre-cancerous and menopausal changes. In addition to clinical care, Dr. New has been dedicated to medical education of students, residents and fellows.
