Biography
Lauren R. Maher, M.D., grew up in New Jersey and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Douglass College, Rutgers University. She earned her medical degree from New Jersey Medical School and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Temple University in Philadelphia. She worked as a general obstetrician/gynecologist in private practice in Philadelphia for 8 years before relocating to Roanoke to work at Carilion. Dr. Maher is both a board-certified general ob/gyn and a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. She is also passionate about medical education and is an Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.
