Biography
Dr. Stockstill grew up in Roanoke, Virginia, and attended Cave Spring High School. He did his undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University, majoring in Biology, and then went to medical school at The Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA. After graduation, he returned home to Roanoke and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Dr Stockstill has been in medical practice since 1993, combining his private practice work with assisting in Resident and student training in a clinical and hospital setting for the majority of his career. He formally joined Carilion Clinic in a full-time role in 2022 and is currently a Clinical Preceptor within the Residency program and VTCSOM.
