Biography
Dr. Stevenson was born and raised in northeast Pennsylvania. She was a member of the second graduating class from The Commonwealth Medical College in Scranton (home of television series "The Office"). The Match brought her to Virginia, where she completed her psychiatry residency at UVA. She then spent a year in forensic psychiatry fellowship at Yale. But Virginia had come to feel like home during her residency, so she returned to Charlottesville and spent several years on the faculty at UVA. Now, she is providing outpatient care to Carilion Clinic patients by telemedicine. She also conducts forensic evaluations for attorneys and court systems in the region. She is board certified in both psychiatry and forensic psychiatry.
Dr. Stevenson is passionate about resident education, perinatal psychiatry, and forensic psychiatry. Her other clinical interests include OCD and anxiety disorders. She also has experience in treatment-resistant depression, TMS, and VNS.
Outside of work, she enjoys watching The Office and doing aerial dance.
