Biography

Katie Lee is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Art Therapist; she earned her master’s degree in Art Therapy at The George Washington University, and undergraduate degree in Psychology and Studio Arts from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is a Registered Art Therapist with the Art Therapy Credentials Board.

In her clinical role, Katie practices as a Behavioral Health Consultant within the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) services at Carilion Clinic Family Medicine in Roanoke Salem and Southeast clinics. She provides treatment for individuals with behavioral and mental health conditions and difficulties with chronic disease self-management. She uses multiple evidence-based treatment modalities including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Art and Play Therapy. Her clinical interests include health behavior change, mindfulness based treatment, multimorbidity, and child and family mental health.
