Biography

Dr. White is board certified in Internal Medicine, Brain Injury Medicine, Addiction Medicine, and General Psychiatry. He is the director of Interventional Psychiatry at Carilion and has clinical and research experience with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Vagal Nerve Stimulation, Electrical Convulsive Therapy and Ketamine. He is an Associate Professor with the Virginia Tech School of Medicine and a clinical champion for the Health System Science and Interprofessionalism (HSSIP) curriculum development.

Over the past 15 years Dr. White has been involved with several leadership committees at Carilion Clinic. His clinical roles currently include both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry. In the outpatient psychiatry clinic, Dr. White sees patients for the management of complex psychiatric conditions and provides medication-assisted treatment for individuals suffering from addiction.
