Biography

Dr. Greer is a native of northeast Tennessee. Following medical school, residency, and several years on faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham she returned home to the Blue Ridge. She joined Carilion Clinic in September 2013. Dr. Greer is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. While at Carilion she has developed a busy general Obstetrics and Gynecology practice in the Daleville area. She enjoys clinical and surgical aspects of OB/Gyn while providing continuity of care throughout a woman's lifetime. Dr. Greer performs minimally invasive minor and major gynecologic procedures. For advanced pelvic surgeries she often utilizes the Davinci Robot. She balances an active private clinical practice while serving as a resident mentor, lecturing to medical students and residents. As a former LACE (Longitudinal Ambulatory Care Experience) preceptor, Dr. Greer now serves on the breast feeding task force and clinical competency committee.

Dr. Heather Greer has been wonderful. I am so thankful our paths crossed. I wish I had been her patient 5 years ago. This is some of the best care I have had in my entire life. She is all the "things" you want in a physician and surgeon.

Dr. Heather Greer is the best OBGYN that Carilion has. Only wish I would have had an OBGYN like her year ago.
