Biography

Hailey is a licensed and board-certified genetic counselor who graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN with a degree in Medical and Molecular Genetics. While Hailey never intended to leave Indianapolis, she came to the beautiful Roanoke Valley to work as a prenatal genetic counselor after falling in love with the department of Maternal Fetal Medicine at Carilion Clinic. Since her arrival at Carilion Clinic in June of 2018, she has worked to provide patients with the most up-to-date information about prenatal genetics, while focusing on patient-centered care. She has also become an Instructor for the OBGYN department through the Virginia Tech Carilion (VTC) School of Medicine and has the privilege of teaching both VTC medical students and Carilion's OBGYN residents. While Hailey sees patients for a wide variety of referral reasons, she is most passionate about congenital heart disease/defects, perinatal palliative care, and maternal mental health in both the antepartum and postpartum periods. Outside of her work at Carilion Clinic, she enjoys engaging in community outreach through the Junior League of Roanoke Valley and going on adventures with her 70-pound German Shepherd.
