Biography
Blayne K. Patton, D.P.M. joined Carilion Clinic’s Orthopeadic department in 2018 as a foot and ankle surgeon serving Roanoke, Lexington and Rocky Mount regions. He serves as the Director of the Podiatric Surgery Combined Clinical and Research Fellowship for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Patton attended the University of Virginia for his undergraduate education and medical school at Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine where he was ranked number one in his class. He then completed his residency at Virginia Tech Carilion.
He specializes in foot and ankle reconstruction, diabetic foot, and foot and ankle trauma. Dr. Patton is board qualified by the American Podiatric Medical Association in both foot surgery and foot and ankle reconstructive surgery. He has special interest in minimally invasive bunion surgery. This procedure limits post operative pain, swelling, and allows immediate weightbearing with minimal to no scarring.
Dr. Patton received a Top Doctors distinction in 2021 and 2023 from the Roanoker magazine. In his free time, Dr. Patton enjoys cheering on UVA as an avid sports fan, outdoor sporting activities and spending time with his wife and two boys.
