Biography
Raised in Southwest Virginia by a nurse and science teacher, I developed an early appreciation for service, education, and healthcare. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, attended medical school at VCOM, and completed my General Surgery Residency at Carilion Clinic. I practiced for five years in Bluefield, WV followed by eight years in Blacksburg, VA and will serve patients at Carilion Giles Community Hospital. I am faculty member at Virginia Tech Carillon School of Medicine and was honored to receive Clinical Educator of the year in 2026 as a clinical preceptor at VCOM. Outside of medicine, my faith, family, and friends are my greatest blessings.
