Sickle Cell Collaborative
Our Sickle Cell Collaborative is focused on supporting patients with sickle cell disease and improving their quality of life.
About
Carilion Clinic’s treatment for sickle cell disease (SCD) goes beyond an initial diagnosis. Our focus is on continuity of care as patients transition from pediatric to adult clinics, with an emphasis on disease management and preventing gaps in care. We are here to help with inpatient and outpatient care transitions or lapses in care with primary hematology clinicians.
We offer an interdisciplinary team approach to health care that integrates multiple specialties through collaboration. These teams can help ensure that patients receive the best care throughout their lifetime.
