In accordance with regulatory requirements, this page provides information on how to request details regarding Conflicts of Interest related to externally funded or supported research.

Available Information

Members of the public may contact our Compliance Office to request information concerning any related Financial Conflict of Interest that have been identified and are still held by Public Health Services (PHS) funded researchers. The Compliance Office will provide the following details pertaining to any identified Financial Conflict of Interest:

  1. Investigator’s name, title with respect to the involved research study;
  2. Name of the entity in which the Financial Conflict of Interest is held;
  3. Nature of the Financial Conflict of Interest (e.g. honorarium, travel reimbursement, equity, etc.);
  4. Any approximate dollar value range of the Financial Conflict of Interest or a statement that the interest is one whose value cannot be readily determined

A management plan is established in cooperation with the researcher to address the Conflict of Interest per Carilion Clinic policy.
