Current Topics in Health Care

Our Current Topics series reflects a variety of ideas and developments in health care that are of current interest to our physicians. These sessions are intended to address “hot topics” or cutting-edge issues currently prominent in health care. Current Topics sessions are generally presented by our internal staff educators, but there are times at which external educators are invited to share their expertise on a special topic as needed.

While the sessions are created with the physician audience in mind, all interested health professions staff are invited to attend sessions that are topically relevant to their roles and/or interests.

Online CME credit is available for any video that has a CME post-viewing evaluation form link. If it has no link to the post-session evaluation form, there is NO CME credit for that video.

Graduate Medical Education Core Curriculum (GMECC)

To help meet ACGME accreditation requirements, the Office of Continuing Professional Development and the Office of Graduate Medical Education have developed a standardized curriculum for all GME trainees and faculty. This podcast series primarily focuses on quality improvement, leadership, and teaching components.

These topics represent foundational principles from which programs should build by interweaving the concepts into teaching within each specialty. Residents and fellows are required (faculty are encouraged) to engage with all podcast sessions of the series during training.
