Biography
Dr. Weiss is a board-certified physiatrist with expertise in musculoskeletal care, nonsurgical spine treatment, electrodiagnostics (EMG/NCS), and neurologic rehabilitation, including stroke, spinal cord injury, and spasticity management. He also performs ultrasound-guided injections and uses botulinum toxin for spasticity and chronic headaches. He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University and completed residency at East Carolina University, followed by fellowship training in musculoskeletal medicine. He received a Masters in Business Administration from Duke University in 2009 as well. He joined Carilion Clinic in 2012 and is an Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Dr. Weiss is active in research and has authored several peer-reviewed publications. He is a member of the AAPMR, AANEM, and Association of Academic Physiatrists and NASS (North American Spine Society).
