At our Birthplace locations, private delivery rooms offer delivery support in the form of:
- Birthing balls
- Peanut balls
- Squatting bar
- Labor tubs
All rooms are also fully equipped with the most up–to–date obstetrical and fetal monitoring technology.
Birthing rooms are designed for your comfort and support at The Birthplace, allowing you to labor and deliver in the same bed.
After your baby is born at CRMH, you will be moved together to a new room in the Mother Baby Unit. At CNRV, you will stay together in the same room where you delivered.
Support for you and your baby doesn't end at delivery at The Birthplace. If you plan to breastfeed, our lactation consultants and postpartum nurses will answer any questions you may have. And if your baby needs extra care, our 60-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital will provide them with the best care possible.
