The story of Zac Foutz's battle with fungal meningitis will benefit Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals .
Cave Spring High School football player Zac Foutz was the youngest of more than 700 patients nationwide who developed fungal meningitis after a contaminated steroid shot. He spent two weeks at Carilion Clinic Children's Hospital , and is still recovering. Zac's story will be featured on specially marked boxes of Kellogg's products sold at Food Lion grocery stores , and for every 4 boxes sold, Kellogg's will donate $1 to CMN. Zac's story was featured on the cover of The Roanoke Times , local radio and all three network television stations.
