US News & World Report ranks CRMH as a Top Regional Hospital

U.S. News & World Report released its annual hospital rankings this week and Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital was once again honored.

The report ranked CRMH as a Top Regional Hospital and has noted it as high performing in 13 procedures and conditions:

  • Aortic Valve Surgery *
  • COPD*
  • Colon Cancer Surgery*
  • Diabetes
  • Heart Attack
  • Heart Bypass Surgery*
  • Heart Failure*
  • Hip Replacement*
  • Kidney Failure
  • Knee Replacement*
  • Lung Cancer Surgery*
  • Stroke
  • Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement

The asterisk shows procedures and conditions that continued with high performance ratings the past two years.

CRMH has only performed the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure for two years and moved from an “average” rank in 2020-2021 to “high-performing” in 2021-2022. Overall, the hospital tied for 6th best hospital in Virginia.
