Chine Logan “Top Gun”
Every year the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) hosts a “Top Gun” competition for residents of the 115-120 neurosurgical residency programs in the country. Residents compete in the performance of several surgical manipulations in virtual reality simulators. They are measured for accuracy and efficiency. Competition is exceptionally stiff as the “Top Gun” challenge has grown exponentially in popularity and interest over the past several years. This year, our own Chief Resident Chine Logan was the overall winner of the competition with exceptional performances in all measures. Chine will be bringing his considerable skills to the University of Alabama this July for a one year Fellowship in Endovascular Neurosurgery. Congratulations “Top Gun” Chine!
