Edgar N. Weaver, Jr., M.D.
Edgar Weaver has been practicing medicine since 1981. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Ochsner Foundation Hospital and his residency from Tulane University. Dr. Weaver is certified with the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Weaver’s clinical expertise is based on a thorough symptom-focused evaluation. His primary interest is in the treatment of pain for the degenerative lumbar and cervical spine which is caused by herniated/degenerative discs, stenosis, mechanical instability and other causes of nerve compression. Technically, his emphasis is on treating this pain with as limited surgery as possible.
He is a member of the following; American Board of Neurological Surgery, Neurosurgical Society of the Virginias, The Congress of Neurological Surgeons, The American Association of Neurological Surgeons, The Medical Society of Virginia, The Roanoke Valley Academy of Medicine, and The University of Virginia School of Medicine Advisory Committee.
Dr. Weaver offers 30 years of experience and professionalism in the surgical and non–surgical care of spinal disorders.
