In 2008, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services released a guide on recommended physical activity for Americans. The guide provides science-based advice to help people improve their health through appropriate physical activity. HEARTNET OF THE VIRGINIAS
Networking to improve cardiac care, HeartNet of the Virginias has promoted excellence in cardiology in this region for 25 years.
Through the sharing of educational and technological resources, HeartNet hospitals and physicians in southwest Virginia and eastern West Virginia have improved the referral process, treatment, and follow-up care for their cardiac patients. Community education efforts, coordinated through HeartNet of the Virginias, have steadily improved the health of the communities we serve.
