How to Apply

Thank you for your interest in the Carilion Clinic Podiatry Residency Program. The program participates in the American Association of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine's Council of Teaching Hospitals Matching Program (CASPR). We will be participating in the centralized interview process (CRIP) (East of the Mississippi date).

Residency Requirements:

Invitations to interview are based on review of the following materials:

  • NBPME: Pass part III
  • 2 letters of recommendation
  • Personal statement
  • Minimum GPG: 3.0
  • Minimum Rank: top half of class
  • State License 1st year: training
  • ACLS and BLS are preferred , but can be obtained during orientation
  • Program Fee: $20.00 Payable to Carilion Clinic Graduate Medical Education, Podiatry

If you would be interested in visiting our practice, please contact the Program Coordinator.   One day shadow visits can be arranged through our office.  If you would like a 2-3 day visit, you will need to contact our Visiting Medical Students website  for information on how to apply.    We would like to receive your CV prior to your visit.
