Protect yourself and your family from the flu virus by getting your annual flu shot during Carilion's free flu vaccine clinic at the Redwood United Methodist Church, in Franklin County, VA!

No appointment needed.  All you need to do is walk in during this event!


  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must not be taking antibiotics or have a current acute illness such as a cold.

Carilion Clinic's Kids on the Move are active and involved in their communities.  

You can join Carilion Clinic's Kids on the Move by simply signing up for an upcoming event.  Kids on the Move will be in Franklin County Christmas Parade.  We'll be marching and you can join us!

Children ages 7 years and up, or younger with an adult, are encouraged to participate.

Come Home to a Franklin County Christmas

The evening starts with the "Biggest Little Christmas Parade", as streets are closed for the much-anticipated festival.  

Carilion Clinic will be at "The North Pole" at the Rocky Mount Train Depot where fun children's activities can be experienced! Franklin Street will be filled from the Train Depot to Bootleggers Cafe with live music, dance performances, various demonstrations, free horse and buggy rides, local artisans, food & craft vendors and much, much more!

Rx Drug Take Back Saturday

Turn in your unused and/or expired medications for safe disposal. No appointment is necessary - the public is welcome. Simply bring your medications to this event where they can be safely collected and destroyed by local law enforcement and DEA agents.

90 percent of teens get prescription drugs from the home medicine cabinet and friends. Participating in this drug take-back event instead of leaving medications unsecured in your home or flushing them down the toilet will help prevent drug abuse and protect your valley's waterways.
