Women's Health University presents - "Foot Health: Get Back on Your Feet Again!"

Your feet will carry you an average of 115,000 miles in your lifetime.  Whether it is your shoes and/or the result of an underlying health condition such as diabetes or obesity, you may be one of the twenty (20) percent of Americans who experience a foot problem this year.

Come and join us to learn all about foot health and how you can prevent common foot issues so you can enjoy an active lifestyle!

Join Carilion Clinic Neurosurgeon Gregory Howes, D.O., to learn more about deep brain stimulation (DBS) for people who suffer from Parkinson's disease and/or essential tremor.  DBS uses a surgically implanted medical device, similar to a cardiac pacemaker, to deliver carefully controlled electrical stimulation to precisely targeted areas in the brain.

Come and join our Carilion Clinic vascular surgeon Dr. Ashish Raju, M.D., for a free presentation and vein screening to determine your risk factors.

Charity Softball Game for a Great Cause

Join us as staff from Carilion Clinic take on LewisGale Medical Center staff in a fundraiser softball game to benefit the American Heart Association.

  • Tickets will be sold at the field for $6, with food and drink also for sale
  • 50/50 raffle tickets will also be available

All proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association and the fight against heart disease

Body Basics is a beginner level strengthening training session for adults.  An exercise class for individuals new to exercise who need guidance or who have a health related physical limitation to work around. These strength training classes involves standing and sitting exercises. We use hand weights and participants can stand and/or sit to perform theses exercises.
 
Weights are provided.

PATH Community Day

Join us for PATH Community Day for a free event for the family! There will be healthy snacks, games, prizes, a bike rodeo, walk-a-thon by Fleet Feet, skyline and disc golf, inflatables, and try-it tennis!

*Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. On-site permission will be required for children wishing to climb the inflatable rock wall, use the bounce house, or the inflatable obstacle course.
