Afib, Anticoagulation and alternative Treatment Options

Atrial fibrillation, known as AFib, is an irregular and often very fast heart rate.  Some symptoms like heart palpitations, fatigue, and shortness of breath are common.

Join us for lunch and information about how you can stay healthy and in your own home.  Our panel of experts will discuss Baby Boomers' unique health care needs including brain fitness, menopausal issues, healthy joints, and more!

Representatives from Carilion's Cosmetics, Trauma, Sleep medicine, Wellness, Pharmacy, and Urogynecology will have information and giveaways during the event.

Life-Guard Rotor Run 5K Race

Come run your "tail rotor" off with us!

Join us for the third annual Carilion Clinic Life-Guard Rotor Run 5K race! Proceeds support a Jefferson College of Health Sciences (JCHS) scholarship benefiting students pursuing a Flight Medicine career.

The route starts on Wiley Drive, follows the Roanoke River along the scenic Roanoke Valley Greenways and finishes at the River’s Edge Sports Complex. Medals will be awarded to top placements per age group. Participants are also permitted to bring their dogs with them for the race!

2017 Carilion Clinic Hospice Franklin Card Party

Carilion Clinic Hospice and The Volunteer Council of Franklin County present the Smooth Sailing 19th Annual Card Party & Luncheon.

Proceeds directly benefit terminally ill patients being treated by Carilion Clinic Hospice in Franklin County through the Patient Care Fund, which provides medication, oxygen, food, medical supplies, phone services and clothing.
