Carilion Clinic's Kids on the Move are active and involved in their communities.  

You can join Carilion Clinic's Kids on the Move by simply signing up for an upcoming event.  Kids on the Move will be in Franklin County Christmas Parade.  We'll be marching and you can join us!

Children ages 7 years and up, or younger with an adult, are encouraged to participate.

Come Home to a Franklin County Christmas

The evening starts with the "Biggest Little Christmas Parade", as streets are closed for the much-anticipated festival.  

Carilion Clinic will be at "The North Pole" at the Rocky Mount Train Depot where fun children's activities can be experienced! Franklin Street will be filled from the Train Depot to Bootleggers Cafe with live music, dance performances, various demonstrations, free horse and buggy rides, local artisans, food & craft vendors and much, much more!

Rise and Shine Health Walk

"An early morning walk is a blessing for the whole day" said Henry David Thoreau.  And how right he was!

Starting your day with a walk around town has many benefits.  It gives you a natural energy boost and you feel revitalized.  Physical activity early in the morning is helpful because it ensures greater mental sharpness for the rest of the day.  You also feel more active and fresh throughout the day.  

Due to the hilly nature of town, this walk will be rated moderate in difficulty.  Please plan to war appropriate shoes and clothing - and please bring water for hydration.

Pre-registration is not required.  

We will meet at the Taliafarro Street Entrance of the hospital.   Hope to see you there!
