How Forensic Nurses Help Victims

Nurses are there to help people - forensic nurses help people who have experienced the worst physical and emotional trauma imaginable.  Carilion's forensic nursing program is set to mark it's 20th anniversary -- two decades providing compassionate care to victims while collecting and protecting evidence used to prosecute the attacker. 

 

The Roanoke Times recently featured the forensic nursing program at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in a front-page article.  Check it out to learn how these nurses contribute to their community and why so few hospitals are able to provide comprehensive forensic nursing services.
