Emphysema Study at Carilion Clinic Showing Hopeful Results

Imagine being unable to take a deep breath. People with emphysema know that feeling well. A new treatement, currently being studied at Carilion Clinic, may help them breath easier. The Aspire Clinical Study  is evaluating a treatment that seals off diseased sections of a patient's lungs, directing air into the healthy part of the lungs. Its already making a big difference for one patient, recently featured on WSLS-TV.
